Gullni hringurinn or, “Golden Ring” is what Icelanders call the Golden Circle. A 300 kilometer loop that exposes the omnipotence of heat and time and ends with the mighty Gullfoss, “The Golden Waterfall.”

Infinite sun and a loaded Toyota Landcruiser lent themselves to the task of circumnavigating the trail of mountains, waterfalls, tectonic rifts, gaping maws, exploding water, and silicone time-bombs.
